It has been a rumor but how does it "appear" that he's running? Has he even commented on it?

Schweitzer could go for congressman and in 2014 for Senate when Baucus retires.

He doesn't need to stop by the House if he wants to run for Senate. No more than he needs to if he wants to run for President.

An open Senate seat in 2012 will be ideal.
