I'm honored by the nomination, but I'll have to decline it as my activity in Atlasia fluctuates greatly.

I will, however, soon be unveiling a three-point plan for the UDL. Watch this space.

You guys could probably remove the "D" from your name, unless it's in the same sense as NDP or DPRK. Tongue

You'd think that anyway.

Now... since I have only just been made aware of this news.

We need to decide on whether we will have a new UDL candidate for president.

I believe this matter needs to be handled with considerable speed.

For the sake of...bi-partisanship, I'm more than willing to carry the UDL banner as well. Smiley Oakvale smells bad.

I would support a Left Unity Ticket.

But I would more like a UDL Ticket, who have a chance to win. And Ben and Ogis haven't a chance.

I think this is an opportunity for us to reassess things, lets stand back for a little bit, everyone have a think.

I think the best thing our party can do now is to endorse the Oakvale/Snowguy ticket.

Really, the left is almost certainly headed to defeat, and the only way we can keep a chance is to unite all our forces under the most solid ticket we have. I think it's rather pointless to have a spare wheel candidate at 10 years of the races. Last but not the least, this is the best way you can prove to the most reticent JCPers that we are beyond petty partisan goals and that we are ready to support them if we think it's the best for the left.

Please think about it, this is probably the last thing we can hope to do right at this point.

I think there are a lot of options - the left as a united force CAN win this election. But I think, while speed is important, we should also not be in a position of having to just react. We need to work out our priorities as a party, as well as working with the JCP.

I don't have the personal issues that a very small number of us have with the JCP - and I would urge cooler and pragmatic heads to prevail.

For the record: I am in favour of either enorsing Oakvale (big surprise!) or considering asking the JCP about a unity ticket.
