Alvin Greene back on the ballot........

Well yeah, the primary is the real election. Though there are actually two Republicans seeking the seat as well.

However...

Depending on what this district is like, I'm serious when I say he might actually win this.

Well he would probably have the highest name recognition...

perhaps not. One of his opponents is the mayor of Manning. Another is on the school board of the other county in the district (and is the only Democratic candidate from that county). The fourth guy is some Manning realtor who is apparently the White Democrat counting candidate.

I gotta say though - if Alvin Greene wins this election, then that ridiculous filing fee for Senator will turn out to actually have been a wise investment decision. Why is the seat vacant, btw?
I believe SC primaries go to a runoff if noone wins 50%? Does that also hold in special elections?
