LOL @ all those right-wingers, who have been announcing Tmthforu's inevitable defeat for two months because, you know, the left always wins. The only thing that comforts me in these dark days is laughing at your prognostication failure. So, thank you ! Cheesy

Oh, BTW... Congratulations Tmth, I'm sure you will be a great President. Smiley

Ironic, because you guys were doing the exact same thing 4 months ago! Tongue

Thank you! I look forward to working with you in the Senate. Smiley

I gotta admit Tony...I thought I was the only one who thought that Tmth was actually going to win, I think some of the people that had his sign in their sigs even thought he was going to lose. Ah, well.

I'll admit I'm surprised. That said, even after all the splintering of the left, tmth only won by 3 votes. It wasn't the right-wing's actions that won it, it was the demise of the left-wing.

Alot of centrist/centre-right voters firmly swung behind a right wing candidate for once as Tmth gave enough reassurance. I think that tipped it in his favour.

Well, I was certainly happy with our chances of winning. Then again, I was a tad cautious given how we'd felt Andrew was a shoo-in.

But either way, I certainly wasn't preaching about our inevitable downfall. Tongue

Yes, I'll admit that we were very pleasantly surprised. Hah! In fact, if you guys had access on the private board you could see why. You have to admit, though, we haven't had a Republican president since Phil, who was elected three years ago! It's like Charlie Brown and the football, basically. We have a right to be pessimistic, though, after June 2009, and then watching October 2009 fall apart at the seams, and then seeing Andrew go down in an upset last October 2010. It was a long road...

Actually, it was the far-right that came to this ticket this time. Andrew and I had trouble getting those voters. They defected to Naso for the most part. The left also split and didn't preference each other, allowing the right to win.

It was probably both. I know I didn't decide to vote for Tmth until the last minute, pretty much.

I predicted both of the last two elections correctly, although Tmth did slightly better than my 5 vote win projection.

So, am I the only one on the left who's not suprised.

Seriously, Tmth probably remember I told him he's likely next President like a month ago.

For most of the race I thought Tmth was going to win. But in the closing days I began to think that Oakvale might pull it out.

I don't know if I was surprised, strictly speaking, though experience had taught me to expect a JCP victory as a matter of course.

I wasn't surprised at all.  I've thought tmth was likely to win for some time.
