Allen 48%

It's worth noting that Perriello and Boucher are not relatively known by most voters.

Pretty much confirms that this is going to be a 50/50 race until election day.

Edit: Oh, they did matchups with Bob Marshall and Jamie Radtke too:

Rick Boucher (D) - 40
Bob Marshall (R) - 32

Tim Kaine (D) - 49
Bob Marshall (R) - 35

Tom Perriello (D) - 39
Bob Marshall (R) - 35

Rick Boucher (D) - 40
Jamie Radtke (R) - 29

Tim Kaine (D) - 49
Jamie Radtke (R) - 33

Tom Perriello (D) - 40
Jamie Radtke (R) - 32

So, Generic D starts out with 40, Generic R starts out with 35, but the Republican has an easier climb to parity?

Good news for the Kaine camp but bad news for the Perillo camp, although I would prefer Perillo to run.

Considering Perriello's relatively low name recognition, he has pretty good numbers.

Mark Warner is still hugely popular in the state:

58% Approve
29% Disapprove

This might help if Kaine runs for the Senate and Warner campaigns for him.

This election will be decided by the Presidential wave.

Rick Boucher? Really? He'd probably be a good candidate---decent numbers against a widely known entity---but his age leads me to doubt he'd run.

Any rumors of that (all contingent on Tim Kaine's decision of course)?

Boucher doesn't seem likely to run, and he'd be an awful candidate; he ran a terrible campaign in 2010.

Actually, he's the same age as Webb.

Really? How so? You know far more about VA politics than I. I merely assumed it was the magnitude of the tsunami that washed folks like him and Oberstar away.

Doesn't Boucher have a Lindsey Graham problem?

This post on Blue Virginia has a pretty good rundown. He slept through most of the campaign.
