If Huck doesn't run (likely), I think that means Palin becomes the heavy favorite in Iowa (and probably South Carolina as well).

If Palin runs I fully expect her to be the nominee.

You're thinking of the Democratic caucus process.  The GOP caucus is just a straight up vote.
