The Economist magazine has put together this infographic comparing India and China on various economic, social and tech indices/measures.

Shows where China had a large lead from the get-go and areas where the lead is not so strong.

I'm not doubting the info, but how sure are we on the original data?  Especially from the PRC.  They don't exactly have a history of integrity.
