Trump says Hawaii Gov. Abercrombie should be "investigated" for saying that he remembers Obama's birth:

Obviously a fake.

It's no secret that Donald Trump has the ressources at hand to produce credible forgeries that would pass any test.

He should be investigated by the FBI or something. There's something curious about this guy. Tongue

No, the fact that two of his three wives weren't even Americans tipped me off. If Trump's wives are foreign-born, he can be as well. Prove me wrong. Tongue

No, for maximum media impact. That's the fundamental motivation for his candidacy; not politics or policy.

I am sure Trump is sitting back and laughing at all of this. As a pro-choice former Democrat supporter with three trophy wives all he had to do is spend a week saying Obama is a Kenyan and he grabbed 20% support of the GOP base.  This is all politics as performance art.

But I bet Tim Pawlenty is paying close attention. After Bachmann and Trump lapped him in the week after he announced, will he jump in the birther bandwagon to try and get some buzz too? It would probably work better than his recent references to Laday Gaga and Charlie Sheen.

If the GOP wants to nominate Trump, then good luck to them.

I'm sure he'll get all the evangelical vote for a thrice married NYC liberal.

I think NBC should cancel his show, if Trump continues his craziness.  In fact, they probably are going to cancel it and this is a desperate action from a desperate man.

If it's 'perplexing' for you - then gravity is probably a nightmare, we already know they can't cope with evolution.

Of course we all know that the real issue is quite different. Where was Trump's 'hair' born? A Chinese prison? A Russian gulag - or whatever Putin Public Relations Inc calls them? An oil well? Hell itself?

Wow! Talk about going off the deep end. Then again this will give him perhaps a couple points more at the polls.

Trump: Obama's Grandparents Put In The Birth Announcement To Get Benefits Like Welfare

Donald Trump has an explanation for why President Obama's birth would be announced in a Hawaii newspaper if he wasn't really born in the United States: His grandparents put it in as a ruse to make people think he was a U.S. citizen, "for hospitalization, for welfare, for this, for that, for all of the other assets you get from being a United States citizen."

On CNN's State Of The Union, Trump told Candy Crowley that he, and others, are not convinced by the birth announcement, published in the Honolulu Advertiser on Aug. 13, 1961, because "it was eight days later after the supposed birth."

"A lot of things happen in eight days," he said.

Trump continued:

Crowley, for her part, was not buying it: "I will tell you we've checked with both these papers early on" and "the fact is that the hospitals reported this information to the papers, and the papers printed it."

"Who knows?" Trump replied. "You're talking fifty years ago."

I don't think Birthers realize it doesn't matter where you were born as long as you are an American citizen.
Maybe they don't consider Hawaii a real State.
Maybe they want both parents to be citizens.
Maybe they don't think Obama is half-white.

Do they realize that McCain was actually born outside of America, I don't hear any complaints about that!

I almost feel dirty for continuing to post this stuff, but this gold from Trump is too precious:

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2011/04/14/extra_bonus_quote_of_the_day.html

"I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks."--Donald Trump, after having called Obama's strong African-American support "frightening".

Reminds me a bit of this:  http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-1014917.html

Also, here's a fun Palin-Trump crossover from 1993:

Since this seems to be the main Trump thread, I'll repost this here. He's hiring a campaign manager.

Is Trump seriously running? Is there any insider gossip that he's actually hiring people and putting together early state operations or is he just talking a lot and people are assuming that he'll run because of it?

He has no dedicated campaign staff right now and is running his "campaign" on his own, with help from his executive assistant Rhona Graff as well as Trump Organization executive Michael Cohen (who was the founder of the "Should Trump Run?" website).

However, over the past few days he has interviewed three people to be his campaign manager: Lawrence Weitzner (Christie '09 campaign manager), Tony Fabrizio (Dole '96 pollster/strategist, managed many lower-level campaigns including Pawlenty '06), and Ralph Reed (the Christian Coalition guy).

Well, duh! Obviously he was a product of affirmative action. It's well documented that that's the only way a ni**er can succeed academically.
