But, all the lefties here maintain that the route to prosperity and popularity is to keep increasing spending and taxation.

But the point is slightly lost when the union-busters are still faring much better than Quinn. Granted, being a politician in Illinois is not exactly a recipe for popularity, so it's not as if we'd be expecting Quinn to do great or anything.
