A few hours ago, during a speech by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a bomb went off in the lobby of the Parliament, killing 39 people.  Among the dead were Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi Foreign Minister and a Kurd; and Saadoun al-Dulaimi, the Minister of Culture.

As of now, no one has taken responsibility for the bombing.  al-Maliki, in a short statement, announced that, "As of now we have no suspects.  However, we are closely examining the situation."  al-Maliki escaped the bombing with only minor cuts.
