Introvert. It's all I know, but I like having my own little world in my head Tongue

I'd rather be a thinker than a drinker.

I'm more of an extrovert, I think, but I value time for introspection and thought.

I'd like to be less socially anxious/awkward, but still I value my introversion.

Given that I have always been quite extroverted, it's definitely the style I prefer.

Neither of you come off as socially awkward to me.

The anonymity of the interwebs cause people to behave differently than they normally would. Also, posting text is easier than talking in person for many people because it gives them time to think about what they are saying without the pressure of an immediate response being needed.

You make a valid point. Otoh, some people still don't manage. I guess it isn't necessarily their fault though.

Interesting, because the opposite occurs for me. In person I can (and do) speak off the cuff on just about any topic, but here on the forum I'll intentionally decide not to post sometimes because I know that if I start typing, the freedom of communicating through text often causes me to spend an inordinate amount of time perfecting everything I say, as if I was writing a term paper or something.

That's not an anxiety problem though, it's just a recognition of the fact that you'd sink more time into it than would be worth it.
