So I can assume sponsorship ? Why not, let's give it a chance.

Yes, I know how all the Rowans of the Senate will react : "OMG you're delaying the Senate's work for some useless bill while there is so much srs bsness to do !". Well, this time I'll be on the wrong side. Tongue

Don't see how this could be amended. Tongue I think we can call a final vote and see how it ends up.

To those who hesitate, I have a couple of things to say. The purpose of this bill is to recognize the work of people who, to the general opinion, have served Atlasia with dedication. I think one of the reasons why so few people really do productive things is lack of reward for the merits of everyone. Well, even if symbolical, this is a reward for people who deserved it. I could add that those people should serve as examples for their successors, that we must encourage them to be worthy of what those people did. So yeah, of course there is a point in letting officeholders choose the names of their offices, but isn't it better if we make it clear we want more people like the "folks" this bill is honoring ?

While I think this bill has great intentions, I'm hesitant to sign this. One of the great perks of getting a cabinet position is getting to name your own building, and we've certainly seen some creative and funny names over the years.

Is that worth a veto ? I don't think the President should veto any single bill he isn't fond of, just those he honestly thinks he has the moral duty to prevent from passing because he feel they are a danger for the country.

It's fun.  It's the equivalent of an IRL officeholder getting to put up a portrait of whomever he/she desires.  I love the tradition, and think we should continue it by defeating this bill.

You missed the point.

I will not support any frivolous bill in the senate regardless who writes it.
