It's sad nobody knows how parliamentary regimes work there. PMs don't get impeached, they get voted down by the Parliament. There's no need for new elections because it's not the PM but the parliament which is elected.

I knew that. Impeached as party leader, is what they most likely meant. That would mean a snap election, if I am not mistaken.

No, he could very well be replaced by a fellow party member. A snap election would be called only if there's no majority in the parliament and no coalition is possible.
