I'm happy not to be here next week to be powerless in this anti-Western orgy, when, precisely, UK and France have had the only decent policy for a long, long time in Libya Tongue.

India-Brazil in finale ? Honestly, this is ridiculous.

China deserves it far more. Nigeria too.
At least, they have coherent policies and they don't try to make you think they are white doves in foreign policy...

"anti western orgy"? 5 of the remaining 7 are part of the western world.

"core western", I should have written.
UK, France, USA, Germany.
Note that Germany and the US have deserved their defeats.

Well, I'm just irritated by RL, not by survivors Wink.
In RL, I really find Brazil's policy hugely hypocritical and far too much widespread.

And I find India's policy intellectually proud of itself, but utterly inefficient and globally lazy.

China is "bad guy" but, at least, it has a clear line: tough, completely egotistic, not-at-all brilliant and even vulgar sometimes but very efficient.

Nigeria and even South Africa do not try to fight over their rate.

For the first time since 1995 and the very late decision to stop Milosevic, I'm a bit prouder of French foreign policy (and of French minister Grin).
As for the UK, well, except for Sierra Leone and for Thatcher's support to Gorbachev, the last good decision was... 1945 ? Tongue

I agree with fab that Brazil has a pretty hypocritical foreign policy, they want to fill the void in the countries where the US doesn't have a lot of influence right now. That means being cozy with Chavez and with Iran (the latter is not something well regarded here in Argentina since we are accusing the Iranian government of masterminding our 2 worst terrorist attacks on our soil) while talking about democracy and "first world imperialism". I'm always weary of countries that get close to being world powers because foreign policy is mostly about promoting your interests around the world and the more powerful you are the more you screw other less powerful countries to get what you want.

So I'm not too comfortable having a huge country like Brazil with a lot of power next to my country. of course there are some benefits but i wonder how long will they take before meddling in every south American countries business.

A Colombia - Lebanon final would have been interesting.

Brazil will be my next 2 vote if we can get rid of UK first.  Smiley
