I will ask cinyc to hold a special election for the two vacant assembly seats at an appropriate time.

I will do so.

Were these vacancies created as a result of not enough people running in last week's election?

If so, since the new Assembly should have been sworn in earlier this week.  Because that was after 12:01AM on Sunday (i.e. less than 5 days before 12:01AM on Friday, April 22), the booth shall be open next Friday, April 29 at 12:00:01AM and shall remain open until the end of the day Sunday, Eastern time.

I will open an office, and post notice of the election there and on the main Fantasy Government board.

Not swearing in, in itself, does not create a vacancy.   The general inactivity rules need to apply first before the seat becomes officially vacant.

I shouldn't have jumped the gun.  Let me double check if there is only one vacancy.

I cannot endorse the repeal of the nullification resolution, and will need a description of the other changes in order to know whether they are worthwhile. As it stands I am vetoing this.

If the Un-Stealing Act has not already been implemented, I am issuing an executive order to begin its implementation immediately.

Governor-

The constitutionality of your executive order to implement the Un-Stealing Act is being challenged in my court.  I have issued a temporary injunction blocking the order until I can make a permanent decision regarding whether the Un-Stealing Act is unconstitutional.

Lt. Governor wormyguy made arguments against the temporary injunction.  Please let me know if you want to appoint him to defend the law and injunction on your behalf and/or you wish to make arguments on your own.  In any event, I will allow the Lt. Governor to argue in favor of the constitutionality either on your behalf or as an amicus.

I am sending you and the other parties a PM with the same message to make sure you get it.

Your notification is appreciated. Nonetheless I feel I must sign the Un-Stealing Bill, if it has not already been legally signed into law.

Will you be representing yourself in the lawsuit or will Lt. Gov. wormyguy or someone else be arguing on your behalf?  If I give the Speaker until Thursday to file his brief, would you be prepared to respond by Saturday?
