The POLITICO - George Washington University Battleground Poll is a national recognized, bipartisan political opinion survey focused on election politics in the United States.

The poll is conducted by Republican pollster Ed Goeas of The Tarrance Group and Democratic pollster Celinda Lake of Lake Research Partners.

The poll of 1000 likely voters was conducted May 8-12 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

The Politico poll also has great crosstabs for the matchups, starting at page 269:

They even have crosstabs for bigger states like CA, TX, FL, NY - even though the sample size for these states is very low.

The poll also reveals what I have long thought would be true:

More people who disapprove of Obama would vote for Obama (9-78) than people who approve are voting for Romney (6-90).

Also:

Obama leads Romney by 67-24 among people who only say that they "consider voting for
Obama".
