Sorry, been very busy the last couple of days!

All three reinforcements in Texas. Attack Oklahoma from Texas. Stop the attack if at any point the attacking force has less than four more armies than the defending force. If the attack succeeds, move everyone to OK.

AZ to NM, do or die, move 'em all there. Free move everyone from NM to TX and end turn. Thanks Joe.

All three in OK.

Attack TX-LA, do or die. Leave two in TX.
Attack OK-AR, stop if I lose five armies. Leave two in OK (unless I take AR with no casualties, then leave three).

Collect card, end turn.

Put everything in North Dakota and attack Montana as long as I have 3 attacking. Then await further orders.

Aw. Can't help the urge to attack Mikado in this game, either? Tongue

Two in AR, four in LA.

Attack LA to MS, do or die, but stop if I'm not rolling more dice than the defenders.

Attack AR to TN; stop if I'm attacking with less than three. Assuming the attack succeeds, leave enough in AR so the two states are even as possible, with an extra if it's odd going in TN.

If the above attacks both succeed, Attack MS-AL do or die.

Await further orders.

(sorry hc, don't really have anywhere else to go)

Tradin' in some cards:

That's 16 reinforcements, right?

2 in AR, 14 in LA.

LA-MS-AL-FL-GA-SC-NC-VA do or die.

Free move VA-TN so that they have an equal number of troops (if odd, extra goes in TN). End turn.

Trading the above cards in.

Thats 8 from the cards plus my 11 reinforcements, giving me 19 now, yes? In addition to the two I automatically get in Mississippi.

I'll need a moment to think here.

Gustaf and Lewis both have four cards right now. Definitely gives me more than a bit of concern.

*crosses fingers*

All in NM.
NM-CO-UT-WY-NE-SD-MT-ID-WA-OR do or die.
Cease attack and await new orders if it ever have too few troops to possibly make it to Oregon on that path.
Assuming that works, though, free move OK-TX and end turn.

Also, Joe, a thought just occurred to me. Would you like to play in the next game? If so I'd be perfectly fine with running it for everyone.

Why didn't Gustaf take Mississippi and rob BK of his Southeast bonus?

Both Gustaf and Lewis are scared of me winning. Gustaf is also scared of Lewis winning. Gustaf took only one region bonus away from me so Lewis would be forced to take the bigger region bonus away from me, rather than Lewis being able to expand significantly out west (or attacking Gustaf) which he could have otherwise done.

Sorry for the delay! Stayed with relatives for the holiday weekend and was unaware they didn't have internet any more.

I'll need a little bit of time to think about my moves here, but in the mean time I'll go ahead and turn these in for eighteen extra troops:

How on earth did you get 6 cards? Once you have 5 you are forced to trade in, no?

I stole them from Mikado Sad

Put everyone in Virginia.

Virginia-Kentucky, do or die, leave six armies in Virginia.

Kentucky-Tennessee, do or die, leave three in Kentucky.

Hold for further orders.

I have been operation on the presumption that this game would use normal risk rules - which would have forced you to trade that set on the spot. If standard rules are not going to be used then my entire gameplay from the start has been faulty.

I had to trade them in at the beginning of my turn, as soon as I had five cards. Is that not standard Risk rules? How would something like that dramatically change your strategy anyway?

TN-AR, do or die. Split armies between TN and AR and free move between TN and VA so that the three states are as equal as possible. (if exact equality isn't possible, first extra goes in TN, second extra goes in AR).

What chance, Teddy? I've never had better than 50-60% odds at best of being able to take you out in any given turn- too risky. And if I didn't finish the job, someone else would've swooped in and taken the cards instead.

Interestingly enough, if we were using your card variation I would have had the manpower to eliminate you on the same turn I beat Mikado. Just sayin'. Tongue

TX-OK do or die. Free move everyone back to TX, end turn.

You know, if Teddy controlled NM and Lewis controlled KS, the map would actually look pretty tidy.

All three reinforcements in TX.

VA-TN do or die.

AR-OK, attack until AR is down to 5 armies or OK is down to 2, whichever comes first.

TX-OK, do or die, but cease attack and await further orders if I lose 6 armies in the attack. Move enough troops so that TX and OK are as equal as possible (the extra goes into TX if I have enough to do that).

Assuming that all goes well, free move everyone TN-MS and end turn.

An uncharacteristically ballsy move from Teddy, there.

But Lewis is trading in two card sets, so he'll just push Teddy back, while Gustaf will just continue building up on the sidelines, and move that huge army out of New York, exactly as planned.
