Nothing. He was pretty much a political lightweight. It would be far more entertaining if his anti-vaxxer cousin RFK Jr. ran for it.

Being the spawn of John Kennedy, he would be very difficult to beat.

John Engle is still around? My lord there is a reason for my return.

I would have rather seen JFK Jr. run for NY Senate in 2000.

There were Kennedy kids who actually held political office including:
-Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (RFK's daughter): unsuccessful candidate for Congress 1986, Maryland Lieutenant Governor 1995-2003, unsuccessful candidate for Maryland Governor 2002
-Joseph P Kennedy II (RFK's son): Massachusetts Congressman 1987-1999
-Patrick J Kennedy (Ted's son): Rhode Island Congressman 1995-2011

He had the most credibility of the younger Kennedys by far. If he had eventually made the step say about 2004 or 2008, he would've been very formidable.
