This latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll is an internet survey of 800 registered voters. It was conducted May 11 to 18 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.46 percent. The Republican primary questions have a margin of error of +/-4.98 percent; the Democratic primary questions have a margin of error of +/-6.17 percent.

I'm not really high on any of these candidates. McCaul (my congressman) is a well-read, reasonable person though. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to hold my nose and vote for Dewhurst. facepalm.

He'll be 67 on election day. That's on the high end for freshman Senators, but certainly young enough (for the Senate, anyway) to serve two terms. Daniel Akaka, Jim Risch, and Bernie Sanders were all 65 when they took office.
