Lamont would be the most leftish of the candidates, unless I'm misremembering things greatly.

Read on wiki one of Macintosh's policies is renationalise Scottish public transport (both rail and buses)? Seems pretty left when compared to the UK Labour's dogmatically neoliberal stances. An actually appealing policy as well!

Harper's not privatising everything in sight, so doesn't need to balance it with moderate social policies - even then, beyond legislating for gay marriage (something that the devolved parliaments were planning to do anyway - forcing the goverment to either allow it now, or be left in the situation where gay rights in Britain would be disunified) his policies are as you'd expect for a Tory government.

What's the deal with Sarwar? Quite hoped Davidson would be deputy.

What does Lamont represent? Seems the unions were heavily behind her, so I'd normally assume she's further left than McIntosh, but then the elected Labour also split towards her favour, which usually means they're right-wing/establishment.

Yeah, I can't say I remember Bryant-Wood 2001 campaign. Should easily be Wood.
