DEMS: Villaraigosa, Newson, Bowen.
REPS: McClintock, Poizner, Maldanado.

Everyone thought it would be McClinntock until he lost for Lt. Gov. I think it may be Liberal Republican Poizner who just beat Bustamante. for Dems Villaraigosa.

I have difficulty seeing Poizner getting the GOP nomination, even in California. Dem will be Newsom, I think.

Villaraigosa/Poizner.  McClintock has tried three times to achieve statewide office, and has failed each time. I doubt the GOP will want him to try a fourth time.

Garamendi is a looser candidate, but he may run in the primary, but I forgot to add him, even though he is more likely to run than Bowen. Still MClintock may still beat Poizner in the primary. Newson terms are up, and Villaraigosa still has another term, if he is re-elected in 2009.
