I would have expected her to certainly be leading Bachmann and Pawlenty by more, but I guess considering that both parties have relatively high floors in Minnesota, no shocker.

Regardless, very impressive numbers for Klobuchar.

Wow, the Republicans have really done something wrong in the Midwest. I hope PPP polls Indiana soon.

If they do, Obama and the Democrat for the Senate won't be ahead, but it'll be closer than we'd expect. And then again, what were Obama and Hillary's numbers in Indiana like in June 2007?

This shouldn't even be surprising... Klobuchar is a quiet, inoffensive center-left senator who won her first election by very large margins. And yes, the MN GOP bench is pretty crappy. So.

She has been popular since she was elected. It has nothing to do with the GOP "doing something wrong" there.

Phil should know, Klobuchar was part of the group that dashed his Santorum-Kean Jr-(Mark) Kennedy love train back in 2006--the most Santorum always found at the front of the train, of course.

Uh...yeah...ok, I liked Kean and Kennedy but "love train?" No. You can stop trolling now.

Automated polls are illegal in Indiana, so PPP can't poll there.  Every poll in Indiana requires a human interviewer, so PPP isn't going to do it.

No, silly, everyone knows that you get an automatic 5% boost in every Minnesota election if your last name is "Anderson" Grin

Calling Minnesota the "midwest" is like calling Colorado the "mountain west".  It misses a sh**-ton of nuance.

I think he means that such a broad label that lumps it in politically with states like Utah or Idaho is just as inaccurate as classifying Minnesota's politics with states like Nebraska or the Dakotas.
