Palin maybe? They're basically the same person so it's hard to say.

Bachmann. She seems somewhat sapient.

Bachmann without question.  60% of Americans already hate Palin and it would only go down hill from there.  While Bachmann is not much better, she has a much smoother starting point so there's an opportunity for GOP to cover up more of her flaws.

Plus, for as bad as Bachmann is, she at least is competent at her elected position and didn't bail out of office to become a celebrity.   Likely to say repulsive things, but less likely to shoot herself in the foot with an ignorant understanding of how Washington works.

This.

Palin has better name recognition but is already a polarizing, divisive figure with high negatives. Like previously mentioned, they're both basically the same person with the same crazy ideas, annoying accents, misunderstanding of American history/civics yet want to lecture everyone else about the Constitution and label others as "anti-American" (lol) and "folksy" good looks (and hot, if you're a straight man), but in her defense, Bachmann hasn't quit her job ..and Saturday Night Live/Kristin Whig hasn't destroyed her in the same sense that Tina Fey has to Palin.

I figured Bachmann as well because people's opinions of Palin are already cemented. Not that Bachmann would be much better but I think her handlers would have more control over her and can avoid some of the serious missteps Palin has made over the past three years.

Bachmann. She hasn't made a complete fool of herself on National TV just yet.

Palin.  She's hotter and has a softer touch.

Take that wherever you like.

By the way, both lose.

Depends on how long it takes Bachmann to start calling for anti-American investigations for those who disagree with her again.

I think Michelle Bachmann, but it's a tough call.

By the way, several historical scholars from prestigious universities have investigated Sarah Palin's Paul Revere "mishap" and found she was actually correct and that what has been passed down through the generations is not.  Of course, the media and the left will never, ever give any credit to Sarah Palin.

Palin didn't actually know this though.  She just guessed the answer.

this poll is sexist and offensive.

Its not our fault the two women running for the GOP nomination are more insane than your average bear.

Now if we had Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Lisa Murkowski --they'd be credible candidates.

Neither wins, but Palin. More charisma, been through a national campaign, executive experience. Can you name one important bill Bachmann has to her name?

Obama's campaign staff is quite competent though, & the odds of Bachmann not being torn apart are close to 0%, no matter how hard the GOP works to hide her problems. Bachmann may not be damaged goods yet, but it's at best an academic distinction.

Bachmann didn't go through 5 colleges or try to make up entire words to mask her simian understanding of the english language. Or quit midway through her term. I'd say that's a pretty significant difference.

I think we got our answer the other night. Now we shouldn't overestimate her but she might not be as bad as we thought.

It rained for 6 days, and then it was sunny yesterday.

Therefore, it will never rain again.

She's as bad as we thought, until proven otherwise.

this poll is sexist and offensive.

Just add Barbara Mikulski (D, MD) -- you know, in the case that the President must resign for reasons of health, as in the face of an impending heart attack  -- and it won't be sexist.

yeah, that wasnt her finest moment...though, even when Bachmann is caught saying something unAmerican like this, she is a lot slicker than Palin and is able to at least somewhat dodge the bullets by turning the argument around on her accuser, like she did with Chris Matthews on election night....Palin, on the other hand, looks totally like a deer in the headlights.

I'd definitely vote against that nasty little troll.

Bachmann would do better.  Not enough better, but she's a substantially better candidate than Palin.

Yeah, Bachmann could probably never be damaged as badly as Palin is now. With that said, I still see a serious general election campaign as almost certainly doing her in anyway. Palin is well beyond the point of no return & Bachmann doesn't have to fall nearly as far as her to still be finished.
