A lot of those senators are FF's. Smiley

Wonder why it took Udall from New Mexico so long to co-sponsor, especially since his cousin in Colorado co-sponsored it on day one. But I guess I forget that he did represent Boulder in the House.

Well, yeah.
Straight soldiers should have the freedom not to know about their colleagues' sexualities.

I thought you were supposed to be a libertarian or something? Maybe you should take that old Barry Goldwater adage (dealing with this subject) to heart.

I'm surprised Cantwell has been doing so well lately. I'm used to being disappointed by her. This will make it easier for me to vote for her next year, at least.

I'm sure Inks will be along shortly to tell us that most of the GOP would be behind this except for an arcane technicality that is tying their hands.

No, it stopped being a federal issue after DOMA passed.

Sad to see neither of the Maine sisters willing to buck party lines and add their names to that list.

There is a huge array of benefits conferred with marriage at the federal level, from joint tax filing status to social security survivor benefits to the right not to testify against your spouse in court. To say that marriage is not a federal issue is foolish.

Libertarian is the new word for right-winger. Y'all can thank Glenn Beck for that.
