His seat actually dropped from 51 percent McCain to 48 percent McCain. He should probably be OK unless Campbell tries to run in that seat and they face off in a primary. Campbell could however move to Mission Viejo and run in the Inland OC district, but then Gary Miller might run in that seat too.

Not quite right. Rohrabacher's old district was 49.8-48.0 McCain. The new one is 49.9 Obama, not sure of the McCain percentage, but can't be much lower. So marginally more Democratic (forgot Irvine was put in the seat), but not enough to be competitive, and the district was kept very coherent.
