I just checked and the pure gas is an unusually wide range in Midwest City from 3.61 at one station to 3.79 at another to 3.99 at another station.

The good stuff 3.59 ( no ethanol)

Wal - Mart 3.34 w/ gift card

Kroger stepping up their coupon program - greeter said a dollar off a gallon if certain buying conditions met. I'll haft to pay more attention to what this is about next trip.

Look for a WH Czar anew to straighten out this business competitive stuff, especially if Joe consumer might benefit from activity that isn't Obama sponsored/approved.

The Kroger thing is interesting - Does it mean that the food uptick is actually a bigger margin combined with your larger buyers of fuel trading outside the traditional fixed markets. I'm  looking for more of this go-around of fuel, food and what has to be the fixed market of Obama's collect & control healthcare.

I filled up for $3.33 for pure gas the other day.  Now, at the same station it's back up to $3.38.

E10 is down to between $3.27 and $3.33.  I must note that that particular station where I filled up is the cheapest 100% gas in town.  Most stations are still in the $3.50-$3.60 range.  That's still a heck of a lot better than it was just 4-6 weeks ago when we were flirting with, but never actually touched, $4.00.

Still sitting above 4$ for regular. My car needs premium though, the higher grade was 40-50 cents more for a few weeks after commodities took a sharp fall. I guess the stations or suppliers were profit taking. Now the gap between regular and premium is back to normal, 4.33 today.

I have officially seen my first $4 station.  A station about 2 miles from my home that's right before an on-ramp to I-40 West Bound, which is admittedly always high, is reading $4.09, this morning.  It's sad, because since I've been doing some hot and heavy job searching and have driven over 250, almost 300 miles just since Monday morning, I am having to fill up this morning for the 3rd time this week.  I rarely let my tank get below half, and never below a third of a tank.  This prevents sticker shock, or at least helps deaden the pain.  Of course, in my small Nissan Sentra, even if I fill it up from empty, it still would probably only be $40 even at $4.00 a gallon.

How on Earth can someone have to fill up three times after having driven just 300 miles?

My dad has this OCD thing where he has to fill his tank once it gets down to 3/4. Guessing Bushie is the same way.

I tend to wait until the little red light comes on unless I'm in some remote area on a road trip or something... Smiley

Do you have any idea how bad that is for your engine??

NEVER less than 1/8th of a tank, always fill it before 1/4 if possible. Essential if on diesel, necessary if on petrol, advisable if on LPG.
