And the Senate 1st and House 13th are both racial gerrymanders (I think).  You have to connect Grosse Point with more Wayne-county whites in order to avoid wasting VRA-necessary blacks.

I'm terribly amused by the Senate "Wayne County white people" district.

It's also cute of them to link East Lansing to the line of townships due east.

Yep. It was a tall order to avoid cutting 1 of the 5 Senate black districts, so they cut the Chinese guy instead.

Really surprised they didn't put Pontiac in that 11th.
