First non-amendment, or potential to be converted into an amendment, since this is slot 4 and its just like five.

72 hours are up, Final vote can occur at any time now, so is there no further business on this matter?

That would require an amendment and a title change.

It is your bill afterall. Tongue Has this been an issue of note ever? You certainly have been here three times as long as I, and thus would know better if this has caused a problem.

Ah, so you are the trouble maker and you are trying to rain yourself in via federal law. Tongue

Are the regions not perfectly capable of aligning their requirements for holding the office with those for running for the office?

Do the regions have any control over what appears on a federal ballot?

I didn't ask whether they have the ability to do so now. I am asking whether they are capable of determining who is eligible to represent them, by whatever means.  Then if so, the question becomes should they be provided with that involvement or not.

Does the honorable Senator from the NE still seek to pursue his earlier amendment?

The OSPR requires amendments to be considered in the order they are offered. So I have to do Napoleon's first unless he indicates he is withdrawing it in favor of bgwah's. Considering there is a reasonable chance that is the case, I will ask one more time whether that is so.

Okay, 44:1 is withdrawn.

Amendment 44:2 is a sponsor originated Amendment. Senators have 24 hours to object to it's passage.

Aye.

If shua were to come back after this passes and then offer an amendment to strike just that part dealing with the time limit, then I would at this point most likely vote for that.

Senator shua, do you desire to persue an independent amendment to strike the time limit from the bill?

Bring this mother to a vote!  I want my bill to be up SOOOOOOON because Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma are frying Sad  And it's spreading and getting worse (and likely to get much worse as all signs indicate another bone dry winter in 2011/12).

Do you want it in the Emergency slot, it is currently open. The PPT slot will soon be open as well.

NCY- If you can work it in soon, that'll be just fine.  Thanks.

Nay to the amendment.

The problem is that the OSPR insists on going in order of introduction on most of the slots. It's midway down through the queue. It could be two weeks or more before it can come to the floor. While we don't have a calendar like the RL bodies, since the amount of time a bill will take is unknown, there is no way to be certain just how long it will be.
