I think Gephardt would have made a slightly better president.

He'd be a better candidate.

Dean would have made a good President, but Clark would have made the best.

Mosely Braun probably would have been fine.

Lieberman would be good, but attacks against Israel would increase, to try to get Lieberman to fight back.

I disagree.

The things that made him a bad candidate - his inability to take a clear position on important issues - would have also made him a disaster as president.

John Kerry is one of those who wanted to president simply to be president.

Clark was the best candidate (and who I supported), Kucinich would've been the best president, out of candidates with a realistic chance of winning the nomination the best President would've been a tossup between Clark and Kerry.

I think Kerry may not have been the best candidate but he would have been the best President.  He had the best resume of anyone 'applying for the job' of anyone in my lifetime.  He understood that 99% of the issues aren't black and white.

This is one of those questions that is hard to say Agree or Disagree to - it's sort of yes/no.

Lieberman, Gephardt and Edwards all would have been better Presidents than Kerry would have been.

If I had to have one of the ten Democrats that ran in the primaries as President, I'd pick Lieberman.

STRONGLY disagree. Dean  was the only real Washington outsider of the group, and his fiscally conservative, socially-left-leaning policies and fiery attitude would have made him a solid President.

Dean was fiscally Conservative? If you take that he wanted to balance the budget quickly, then yes, but he also wanted to repeal all the Bush Tax Cuts and offer Universal Health Care.

John Kerry had the experience neccessary to be President, he had been through many foriegn policy crises, he could work with other nations, and understood that issues are not black and white.

I think Kerry would have done a sound enough job as President but he was not my preferred candidate

If you hated Kerry for his attendance record then you REALLY would have hated Lieberman.  Sure, Kerry missed the most for the campaign year but over the last 5 years Lieberman has missed more than any other current Senator.

Clark is worthless, he couldn't even run a good military operation against Serbia.

The Least Worst of the 10 would be Gephardt and Dean.

The biggest problem with Kerry is that he was a liberal who campaigned as a moderate, and got caught.

Dean's biggest problem was that he was a moderate who campaigned as a liberal, and was viewed as unelectable.

Lieberman was electable, but in the primaries, folks tend to choose the less moderate candidates. Which is why McCain lost in 2000, and lieberman lost in 2004, yet both would have likely won their respective elctions solidly.

Al Sharpton + Dennis Kucinich - Cheesy

Edwards was a good VP choice but was not ready for president. Seeemed too inexperienced for me. Good campaigner though.

Gephardt would have made a decent president. Not a very good campaigner.

Clark - electable, and respected by all. Good campaigner. Not a solid platform.

I would have been thoroughly undecided between Dean, Kerry, and Lieberman. I supported Dean up until the overplayed Iowa Scream because of his positions on the Iraq war, and because of his time serving as governor of vermont (he did a great job). I then supported Kerry. Lieberman was always an option but his support of the Iraq War......ya........I didn't like that.

Not like it really mattered. By the time Jersey got to vote only Kerry was on the ballot.

Disagree. Ideologically, I'd go with Dean over Kerry, but Kerry is actually a SANE person. Could you seriously imagine Dean at a press conference?  ...and we're gonna get Osama, and Khalid, and Ayman...and then we're going to the Tora Bora to destroy Al-Qaeda!

My #1 Democratic pick would be Lieberman, then Gephardt.
