For some reason everybody seem to think it's very important that she's a woman and an European and just missed the main point : bigoted neoliberalism is back in the IMF. DSK had his flaws, but at least he was bringing some sanity.
The IMF has always been a neoliberal institution. DSK or no DSK.
I seriously doubt the IMF would have taken a so resolute position during the economic crisis had it been ruled by a traditional neoliberal hack. Of course it would never become The-Saviour-Of-The-Poor, but DSK was moving things in the right direction IMO.
