Since very few people speak French here, I would assume it would only be on cable channels in the upper hundreds.

this'd be like DWTV, i presume-a german network with broadcast in english all over the world, as well as in gherman and a copuple of other languages.

I quite often watch their news, it is a good insight into european life, and I will watch the frnech version too.

The local PBS network carries an hour of DWTV programming in the very wee hours most weeknights, I could see them possibly doing the same with this as part of the rationale for showing the DWTV stuff is to provide material for German classes.
