I fall down with the Sierra foothill and NE corner counties, so maybe around 45 of the 58 CA counties perhaps.  I can name all the SoCal counties though.  Tongue

I wonder if Sam Spade can identify all 254 Texas counties.  He claims he knows the state like the back of his hand. Smiley

I did 198, with 7 misses, and 49 skips.  I think with a list, I could probably do about 230-240.

Other than getting Franklin and Morris reversed, the south-easternmost county missed was Hamilton

4 swaps, the two Stones mess me up.  Swisher and Castro had the same population in an earlier census, exactly 10,000.  In both cases, I know I get them reversed which makes it hard to get them right.  I swapped around the Lubbock neighbors, and the blue counties are hard because they are all square, little population and no reference counties,
