Today and throughout the next three days the citizens of the Mideast have the opportunity to elect the new Assembly and the Governor. This has been a long and fruitful campaign which has helped to show the differences between both candidates (see, for example, the most important issue concerning the region, i.e. the budget debate). Have a look at the specific proposals both of us made on this and other issues and make up your own mind as to who offers the better solutions. The choice is up to each one of you and I'm looking forward to an exciting election!

Have fun,

Governor ZuWo

Later today, though that depends on the time I'll come back from university and work. The constitution says the following about the time of elections:

"Elections shall begin between midnight Eastern Standard Time on the third Thursday of the month and 0001 Eastern Standard Time on the first Friday thereafter, and shall conclude exactly 72 hours after beginning."

Thus, we'll be in time. Wink

Please run for At-Large Senate. You will receive my enthusiastic support, hopefully that'll make up for not supporting you for Governor.

Gubernatorial election and beyond

Dear supporters, dear Mideast citizens

The election for Governor is over and the result could hardly be clearer. An overwhelming majority of the Mideast population decided to vote for my opponent rather than me. I obviously wanted the result to be different, but I knew that a defeat was in the realm of possibility. I want to thank those who supported me and voted for me; you made this campaign an enjoyable experience for me. I appreciate your encouragement and your attempts to make me run for Senate, but I have to decline. Indeed, I think it would be inappropriate to run in another election right after having received such a verdict by the voters. I need time to assess my position in this game so I will not run for any office in the next time. I hope the Mideast will remain a successful, vibrant and active region.

Best wishes,

ZuWo

Considering that portions of the bill are unenforceable, I recommend a veto.

And considering this bill may or may not be consistent with federal law, I suggest a veto.

I sign the "Nefarious Act aka the Mideast Anti-Human Trafficking Act" and the "Mideast Health Care Reform Act of 2012".

Governor ZuWo

I approve of the intention of the bills and I think they can be amended/corrected/improved at a later point, which is why I signed them.
Additionally, I'd like to thank Assemblyman 20RP12 for his resolution and the other members of the Assembly if they pass it.

One of the most well-deserved pieces of legislation I've ever written.
