Wanna ram this through? Evil

I have been told this is/should be non-controversial, so let's see if we can.

I ask unanimous consent to waive the minimum 72 hour debate time and cloture vote to proceed immediately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.

With no objection having been entered to either request in the 24 hours, the bill is now at final vote. Senators, please vote Aye, Nay, or Abstain.

YAY!!!!, NOW WE CAN VOTE WITHOUT READING THE BILL!!!! Evil

This bill has enough votes to pass, senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

While I'm never one to put a damper on exciting new ways to abuse the rules of order Grin, I must point out that the OSPR clearly states the 72 hour debate time can only be waived by the PPT and President of the Senate jointly performing an emergency override of Senate procedure, described in OSPR Article 8.

However, I'd also like to note that nothing in the OSPR specifically prohibits such an override action from being authorized retroactively. Therefore, I hereby call for an override of OSPR Article 4, Section 1, Clause 1 for this bill, effective July 17th at 7:35 PM. Also note that a 24 hour waiting period wasn't actually required Smiley

Don't mind me, only trying to cover all our bases here, legally; just PM me next time you need to bend the rules, Yank Grin

Have you seen the recent OSPR Amendment?  Huh

So both that and the provisions you describe are in place. So either procedure is valid. Tongue

Which you should have known about considering you are tasked with adding it to the wiki page for the OSPR, according to the Giving the VP tasks or some such thing act. Tongue

Yay!  Now hopefully some of those affected by the historic drought in the southern plains and southwest won't have to lose their shirts.

And, a message to Rick Perry:  You can pray for rain all day.  If God had anything to do with the weather, you wouldn't need to pray in the first place.  In the meantime, we'll bring real relief to the families impacted.
