Social far-left and economic center-right. One of the more interesting scores around here.

EDIT: This post was meant for Napoleon, but it's more than applicable to afleitch as well.

Fits him well.  Doesn't fit North Carolina, but then I'm pretty sure he's from Pennsylvania.

I am, just on vacation.

Assemblyman MOPolitico: Could be a liberal Republican, but independent seems accurate.

Very much a 21st C. European centrist ... which tends to mean left of centre socially, and slightly right of centre economically..

Could be more liberal but not bad by any measure.

A politician I'd vote for, but could use a shift to the economic left a little bit.

Switching the scores could help a little bit, but more than acceptable as-is.

Colbertiste trend of all Frenchies, probably Tongue

For Nathan, well, I don't know him well, so I guess it's pretty accurate, though a bit disappointing for my taste.

Going by that score, he belongs in the Libertarian Party.

Somewhat odd score considering that most left-economic, right-social types seem to be just a little further left on both.

I see the score went a little to the left of were it was last week. I'd have guessed based on his strong self-identification as a lefty it'd be even further, but the score seems a decent match for his views as far as I can tell. No surprise the social score is what it is.

Given the economic score I'd expect a Democrat to be more "left" socially, but I guess that's explained by your identification as a traditionalist-leaning lefty in your sig.

Econ isn't bad.. social score is much too high.  Is it because of one issue (abortion perhaps?) or because you're a social conservative?

I wouldn't call myself socially conservative.  I don't reject change automatically at all, but I am a bit more authoritarian than the mainstream.  It was probably my abortion answer that drove up, though I did not prioritize the issue.  Basically, I don't believe the lowest common denominator man (or woman) is competent enough to behave in a way that doesn't harm society in someway, and thus needs a few nudges from the state in the right direction.  Like seat belt laws, taxes on fatty foods and drugs, etc.
