I think this shows three things: First, Perry is clearly rising in terms of fame, though whether he will take Bachmann's position isn't certain (I suspect he is just another shooting star). Second, Bachmann is clearly on the decline from earlier on. Third, Ron Paul's rise shown in the Rasmussen poll has now been confirmed, and his numbers are going up considerably. This could be very good news for him, especially if he wins in Ames.

If we include the joke ARG, that's the third straight poll with Ron Paul in double digits.

I think we have our Final Four heading into the primaries set now unless Palin and Giuliani suddenly decide to jump in.

I never thought Paul would actually have a chance of winning. I guess the nation is taking California's lead, and wants an old grandfatherly like figure to fix its problems.

If "the nation" = 1/7th of GOP primary voters, then yes.

Whatever voters there are that decide who to support based on appearance and personality are probs not flocking to Ron Paul.

The Paul numbers are really interesting.  Appropriate, too, given the debt ceiling debate and Ron's long-standing focus on fiscal and monetary issues.
