If you're expecting to see 2000, 2004, or 2008, then too bad, because none of them are on either list. They're all too recent.

Most important:15. 1936
14. 1960
13. 1824
12. 1840
11. 1876
10. 1980
9. 1828
8. 1856
7. 1912
6. 1796
5. 1932
4. 1800
3. 1860
2. 1864
1. 1789

Honorable Mentions: 1972, 1920, and 1948

Least important:
10. 1924
9. 1832
8. 1900
7. 1956
6. 1944
5. 1984
4. 1848
3. 1852
2. 1872
1. 1820

Honorable Mentions:

1996, 1812, 1804, 1880, 1940, and 1792.

Not the biggest fan, but he has his reasons listed, and they aren't always exactly correct, but the fact that someone did this is interesting enough.

Yeah, I was surprised by that as well.

I mean talk about a chaotic election.

Agreed, 1968 should be on that list instead of 1936. 1936 wasn't very important at all.

Anyway, have either of you read his reasons for the elections importantce/unimportance?

Yeah, it's kind of the reason why I brought up 1920 (due to his insistence that all 1920 is remembered for is women being able to vote).

So, could you make a list of your most and least important elections? I'd like to see it.
