I have been reading around and it looks like US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison might not run for re-election, but run against Governor Rick Perry in the GOP primary. If she does run, it is a unclear who would win. Two polls are out, one saying Hutchison leading 60-32 another saying Perry 47-43. This will likely be an interesting race...

The only thing we know for sure is that the Democrats pretty much have neither a chance at the governorship or at the Senate seat.

If Hutchinson is the Gov. nominee, she will win easily because she is extremely well-liked in Texas.  If Perry runs again, he would win, though not as easily.

US Rep. Henry Bonilla would probably then run for the Senate seat and win even easier.  He is well-known, well-liked and much more conservative than Hutchinson, so I really don't have a problem with this.
