Dortmund has...what?...one or two starters on the national side, right? That's all I recognize. If so, great result. I can only hope Chelsea win the Champions League to depress Bayern/Germany heading into the Euros. Smiley

It looks as if Chelsea will likely be out of Europe entirely unless they win this game.

Therefore they must not win it. Let's at least hope Bayern wins in a way that can't be used to spin the game as legendary in any way or form. Their last CL win may serve as a model.

Juventus ends the season undefeated. Del Piero scores in his final league game as does Pippo Inzaghi.

O.K, that was quite amusing, even if our defeat to United contributed directly to the laughter.

Yeah, what a sh*t day (once again) for Bayern in German games.

And then they are going to beat Chelsea in the CL Final ... Tongue

hahahahaha united tears are delicious

Also calling it "soccer" and using the acronym "EPL" when you don't want to type out Barclay's Premier League is perfectly fine, Tweed. Only snobby pedants would argue otherwise.

Hey Phil. What can you tell me about Mauro Camoranesi? He may come play for my Mexican club Atlas.

Also what Man City did today. Wow.

He's definitely at the end of his career/too old. Was a valuable player around the time he won the World Cup with Italy. Don't expect much from him now.

Salzburg claim seventh Austrian title

(AFP) Sunday 13 May 2012

Salzburg claimed their seventh Austrian league title on Sunday after winning 5-1 at Wiener Neustadt in their penultimate game of the season.

The emphatic victory took them six points clear of nearest rivals Rapid Vienna, meaning they cannot be overtaken. Defending champions Sturm Graz, meanwhile, are 17 points off the pace in fifth position.

It was a fourth national title for Salzburg since the club were taken over by Dietrich Mateschitz, founder of the energy drink company Red Bull, in 2005.

Salzburg will attempt to complete the Austrian double for the first time in their history when they meet Ried in the Austrian Cup final on 20 May.

You would, of course, need to have had something ugly done to your brain to be even able to memorise the first word of that.

Meanwhile, this is real determination:

Playoff for the last second division slot, and yeah the away goal rule applies.

Rejoice! Marcello Lippi is a coach again! He's now manager at Guangzhou Evergrande. A chance at a little redemption but here's hoping he leaves China after a season or two and gets to retire as coach of one of the world's elite clubs.

Is it in Europe or South America? No? Ok, then that contradicts your statement.

Or maybe you were making a joke about their motto... Tongue

Yeah, they have the best motto ever. They also lost to Real Madrid like 8-0 in a friendly this summer, it was pretty great.
