I doubt it's a coincidence that Rasmussen only polled Ron Paul.

Because only srs candidates who have a chance at winning the nom like Sarah Palin and Herman Cain should be polled.

Polling Cain instead of Paul is an odd choice.

Against an incumbent with a  38% approval rating in today's gallup poll. Hilarious.

That`s fairly easy:

PPP only polls general election matchups with the top 5 candidates in their national GOP poll.

Because the last poll from Mid-July had

1) Romney
2) Bachmann
3) Palin
4) Perry
5) Cain

they used these 5 candidates in their GE polling.

But I think this will change now, because

A) PPP has said that they will drop Palin from their polls if she does not make her intentions clear until the end of August

B) Paul will probably overtake Cain in their next national GOP poll

This looks like a pretty favorable sample for Republicans, look at the party id numbers. (Yes I recognize PPP's methodology and why this normally doesn't matter)
