It's not really my thing. I used to go to worship services where people did that and sometimes felt weird for not feeling any need to do that - so it can be kind of a turn off for me. I don't have a problem with expressive gestures in worship, but it can become just a convention or show, and that annoys me.

I've never heard of voting during a church service before. What's your affiliation?
