The organizer of the Tea Party rally in Iowa this weekend told NBC News he had to cancel Christine O'Donnell's speaking slot again -- after she was re-invited -- "after a conversation with Sarah Palin aides -- and is now hopeful Palin will attend the Saturday rally."

Josh Marshall: "We're now hearing that Christine O'Donnell has been re-expelled from the Iowa Tea Party-palooza event. For those keeping score at home. She was invited, disinvited, re-invited this morning and apparently now re-disinvited."

Why does anyone care about either of these people? Rick Perry is our new Dark Lord.

They finally realizing what she trully was. A quack who attached herself to the latest fad and managed to cost the GOP a senate seat. Our version of Alvin Greene (but in say OH or some state that was open and competative for the Dems rather then SC). She is the type the Dems would want to plant, though I doubt that is what happened.

If that's what it takes to avoid having to listen to Palin (or, god forbid, Bachmann)... Sure would.

Given how close CO was, she probably actually cost the GOP more than one senate seat, just from the bad publicity.  Arguably NV and (a shot at) CT as well, just by association with other female GOPhers.  They might well have taken 80 seats in the House if not for O'Donnell.

(Of course, the liberals would've found some other media narrative to emphasize, but they probably picked the most damaging).

What happened in CO had nothing to do with O'Donnell or TP or anything other then Buck's style combined with a very inconvenient phone conversation from 10 years ago.

The only places outside DE, where the impact would of been the most would have been those in the Philadelphia media market. PA-07, PA-08, NJ-03 all went to the Republicans, the last two tossed out Dem incubments to do it. MD-01 which borders DE also tossed out and incumbent blue dog for a TP Republican.

I highly doubt O'Donnell had any impact except in her own race and down ballot in DE. She pulled the wrong guy across in the House primary race and the Dems actually gained seats in the State legislature.

I ask myself the same thing ever morning, all while resisting the urge to end it all.  Wink
