Obama said he'd veto it because it doesn't go far enough.

Occasional gems like this almost make me wish that I didn't have Poltice on ignore:

I feel sorry for Democrats. Consider this a warning on trying to paint the Romneys as if they are the Kerrys. If you keep building this up, the testimonies on behalf of the Romneys are going to destroy your campaign. Barack Obama will end up looking like Marlo Stanfield in the eyes of voters.

That post might in itself somewhat redeem the 2012 board.

Heavily Republican. It's a right-wing site.

Extremely heavily Republican. Psychiatry is right-wing by definition.

The other demographics I don't know about.

Generally those threads are dumb but I'm pretty sure this guy is serious.

I take it you don't know Bandit. He's a completely deranged poster who's been around for years. He usually claims that Republicans steal elections in Kentucky because no one he knows there vote for them.

Love Bandit. One of the Top 5 members of all time.

It has come to my attention that Straha, an integral person in this forum's history and an intelligent and amusing poster, was today banned for no [good?] reason.  There is no reason to "automatically" ban him; he (contrary to popular belief) was never actually banned, merely accidentally locked out of his account until recently.  He did create several new accounts due to being locked out, but none of them ever claimed to be anyone else or denied being Straha when asked, and several other members (most recently Mechaman) have created new accounts due to being locked out of their old one.

It's very much ridiculous to treat any forumite, especially a well-liked regular, in this way.  Unban him!

You lost me at "intelligent and amusing poster".

I love how these people think Gary Johnson somehow stands a chance of getting more than 3% of the vote.

Believe me, I wish he could win, but he can't.
I think he can take up to 10%. He is not charismatic, agreed, but this is the year of the third party. Not only will Johnson take about 5% of the vote, but Roemer will likely come very close (but not surpass) 1.0%, and Anderson, Stein, and Goode will be well under 1%.

Are you sure you live in Florida?  Because Obama has no chance.  (Well, unless he can get masses of illegal aliens to vote.)

Only 11 posts and already on here. Is that a new record?

The Googlebots in Who's Online link me to quite the absurd post every now and then, but this is a new favorite.  A now mainstay member is thought to be a sock:

Lief is just adam's latest account. I thought that was fairly obvious. But I like this version of adam best, so I'm glad he's stuck with it. Smiley

Lief's for real, methinks.

I'm pretty sure Lief admitted to being Adam, no?

On the positive side, Santorum did, finally, endorse Romney, as everyone knew he would, at some point or other.

On the negative side, as is usual with Santorum, this self indulging Santorum ego trip, put into the form of an email, is all about Santorum, really.

Romney agrees with me on this, Romney agrees with me on that.  The issues that I put forward in the primary campaign will be well represented in a Romney administration.

Santorum never even had the class, or the good taste, or the guts, or, one might even say, the humility, to turn this into a major campaign event, for Rick and Karen Santorum to stand on a stage beside Mitt and Ann Romney, and say, in clear, unmistakable, unequivocal terms,  I proudly endorse Mitt Rommey for President of the United States.   He then proceeds to deliver an enthusiastic, detailed speech of why America needs Mitt Romney as President.

Then Romney steps to the fore, thanks Santorum, thanks Karen Santorum, thanks the Santorum family, praises Rick Santorum for his many years of dedicated service to the nation and the party, for the spirited primary campaign, then proceeds to address Americans about the failed Obama Presidency, and how President Romney will restore jobs, and America's sense of purpose.

They shake hands, they hug, the wives hug one another, the event is scheduled in prime time, is covered nation wide on all the networks.  The thousands in attenance burst into thunderous cheering and applause, while the entire nation watches, and is very impressed.

That's the way this should have been handled, but then again, we are talking about Rick Santorum here, and for him, it's all about Rick.

Another reason why he must be removed, anything to steal the spotlight from the Tea Parties victory in Indiana. Good job North Carolina in banning gay marriage. Indiana will be doing so in 2014.

Does he also support gay incest marriage, since there is no danger of pregnancy?

Barack Obama was snorting cocaine as an adult yet Mitt Romney is being attacked for something that may or may not have happened? And if this John Lauber was really a homosexual, he'd probably be dead by now given what happened to most homosexuals his age in the '80s and '90s (e.g., Freddie Mercury, Liberace, Rock Hudson, etc.)

I thought this little convo, with this new creep needed a home.

After the election, Obama divorces Michelle and moves in with "body man" Reggie Love.

I see... that's the only reason why he'd support SSM?

No.  He also needs the money and other support he'll get now from Hollywood and the other holders of the megaphones of U.S. culture.

Oh ... I'm sorry, I clearly had the wrong idea about you. Thanks for the clarification!
