The key will be stopping Brady. I think Denver will have no trouble scoring against NE. It'll be a matter of whether NE will out score Denver like they do the rest of their opponents. If they score 45, it's over. If they score 25, we could have a ball game.

Brady is going to put up points, Denver defense really doesn't matchup well against the Patriots offense due to the fact that their safeties are pretty much garbage so either Gronk or Hernandez will have a field day

The key for Denver IMO is Tebow is going to have to show he can hit the intermediate throws with some sort of consistency because I really don't see NE living their backend exposed to the big play like the Steelers did.

Coach Herm Edwards on ESPN is picking several upsets, 49ers over Saints, Texans over Ravens, Giants over Packers.  The only favorite he picks is the Patriots over Broncos.

The only one that I can see happening is Giants over Packers.

"Coach" Herm Edwards is as good an analyst as he was a coach . . . which is a not very good one.

ESPN's reporting that Fisher will coach the Rams next season. Any thoughts?

I can easily see the 49ers over the Saints.  The Saints are not that hard to score against.  In fact, none of these scenarios are impossible.  The hardest scenario of the Coach I can see coming true would the Texans over the Ravens.

All season, nobody in prognostication has given the Niners respect. Win or lose, maybe they'll finally give the team its due.

If the 49ers keep playing like this (mind you, I'm only watching the score right now), it's not out of the realm of possibility to see a Giants @ 49ers Championship.  Who, at the beginning of season, had that on their prediction bracket?

An interesting note: 13 Patriots are listed as questionable on the injury report.  We'll have to see how that affects the game.

In a sense this is still kind of pathetic, though; 5 takeaways & we're still only up by 6.

At least for tonight: Alex Smith > Drew Brees.

I've got an increasing feeling that Tom Brady > Tim Tebow.  14-0 Patsies.

I hate this damn team. I really hate them. If they have to win, though, I hope to see what I hope for every season in every sport that I follow: one of my least favorite teams getting stopped in the championship.

Can I just mention that I nearly died today because of that Niners-Saints game? My mom's a big Saints fan and I'm a big Niners fan, so it was tense all throughout the day in my house.

Niners games are perpetually intense. I'd say they're probably the most exciting team in the NFL today for the number of last-minute victories they pull out.

This is actually happening. The Niners are favorites to go to the Super Bowl. Amazing.

Yes, this. I've been waiting 9 years for them to just make the playoffs, but this is surreal.
