maybe Obama should just apologize again...I am sure that another apology would transform Islamabad into a close US friend.

This war is going to last a long long time.

Pretty clear that they were never an ally to lose in the first place.

In fairness the US is an absolutely terrible ally (well except for to Israel).

So is Pakistan. I think a good argument could be made for us and the Pakistanis deserving each other (in terms of international policy, not internal policy, in which case America obviously does things better. Which I don't often get the opportunity to say these days).

Haha, you need to get a clue. Who was buddy buddy with Musharraf? Bush.

Who went into Pakistan and got sh**t done? Obama.

Hey, even last night it was Santorum, who represents the neocons, saying we need to be more friends with our "allies" like Musharraf. So dude, get a clue.

Bush was played by the pakis like the naive idiot that he was, Obama actually figured them out and didn't warn them of the Osama raid. Obama knows what he is doing regarding Pakistan at the very least.

BTW, the Pakistani foreign minister is hot.

Hina Rabbani Khar is beautiful and also actually slightly terrifying in the way of many such very young, very powerful people. Also she went to my university, which is just bizarre.

No, no, they're not being racist and/or ignorant, they're just exercising their first amendment rights.

This is not England. Though I am not sure if Jmfcst meant it in a racist way, I of course did not. Would be hilarious if I was using it in a racist way. Not even sure if it's possible. Do Indians call Pakistanis "Pakis" in England? Of course Indians are also included under the umbrella term by the bigots, aren't they?

Being an US ally is very hazardous. After all, Saddam was hanged, Noriega is in jail, etc. etc.

If you look in her eyes, they are cold and dead. In all her pictures, I just get this vibe by looking into her eyes that she has no real humanity. I got that vibe from Dick Cheney too.

I get a slightly different vibe. I got that vibe from Cheney. I get a less inhuman and more psychotic vibe from Khar.
