Title says it all.

For the sake of making the first posts more interesting, I'm going to say the last three posters were:

1. George Voinovich
2. Barack Obama
3. Ron Paul

I would vote for George Voinovich because he is close to the embodiement of what I would be in the US Senate: socially conservative, center-right on economics, and was his own man no matter what the party told him.

Really? I'm rather suprised by that vote.

I'd probably vote for Cathcon because he's closest to me ideologically (I think?), though I'd consider Tmth for electability purposes and probably agree with him more on economic issues. I don't think I'd vote for Napolean because we pretty much will disagree on every issue I would ever consider basing my vote on.

How so? He can't stand me or Marokai, so Cathcon is the only option.

I clearly knew about the fight between Napolean and you (How could I miss it?) but I didn't know Napolean and Marokai didn't get along. It just surprised me that Napolean would vote for someone much, much more conservative than Marokai, who seems to be a fairly likeable and respecful liberal.

Maybe I just haven't been in Atlasia long enough to understand that unlike real life, you don't vote based on who you actually agree with. Still, this isn't Atlasia.

Tmth, obviously.

Wow, this is one of the really difficult type of matchups I was hoping to get when I created this thread. My views are probably somewhere between Cathcon and realisticidealist, so I guess one of those two probably. I do like Yelnoc and I think he'd make a good candidate. Unfortunately I have to pick one...

Ok, realisticidealist, mainly because he's expressed his views perhaps a bit more concisely than Cathcon to this point, though it might just be because he's older. Eh, I had to pick one.

Ben. I don't agree with him on much, but it's way more than the other two.

Polnut, he seems to be the most moderate. I don't know Belgian very well, so perhaps him if he turned out more moderate.

Nathan, I don't think I'd be able to find agreement with the other two on anything

Progressive Realist, but my it'd be a painful election. I don't actually agree with PR on much but he's probably the least outright hostile toward my brand of social conservatism.

1. Cathcon- If nothing else but his username ought to explain the widespread ideological agreement.
2. New_Conservative- I don't know all that much about him yet, but his anticipating Goldwater is too far left on social issues is a good sign.
3. Goldwater- He'd actually be a pretty good candidate and I like the guy, but ideology does matter. Plus there were only three options. I'd take him over 70% of the forum.
