Different American Revolutions?

I just read in my history book that early New England actually staged the first American Revoultion in the 1620's, though not much came of it. Could this have resulted in an earlier forming of an independent American state?

Earlier in a book I was reading, I read of Thomas Payne's idea that there be less of a revolution and more of an evolution as the 13 colonies evolved with their own industries and resources to gain independence, as opposed to what actually happened. What might have been the results of this?

Huh? The pilgrims were literally just getting off the boat in the 1620's. Specific source on that, please.

I'd imagine you'd eventually have a combined US-Canada emerge as a British Dominion. Don't know how the slavery issue would work out.

I do wonder if we would have seen the same westward expansion under such a scenario. Especially the Louisiana Purchase. I imagine the Southwest would still be Mexico.
