http://www.witf.org/state-house-sound-bites/corbett-gets-first-50-percent-approval-ratinghttp://www.philly.com/philly/news/130772348.html

A new poll shows that Governor Corbett’s approval rating saw a jump among women.  The Quinnipiac survey shows women approve of the Governor’s job 45 to 34 percent, up from 37 to 41 percent in August.  Corbett’s overall approval rating is 50 to 32 percent – his highest grade yet.

Pretty good, Governor. You are more popular than Obama.

So Kasich is up, Corbett is up, Walker is up, and Christie is up. Synder and Scott are as of yet unknown.

What poll showed Kasich up?

While that is a 5% increase in his approval rating, it is important to note that it came mainly from Republican male voters, his disapproval rating remains right around 50%, and that his numbers among other demographics (such as independents) remain pretty much the same.  In other words, while Kasich's approval rating did technically increase, to talk about this "increase" as though it belongs in the same category as Corbett's or Christie's is misleading and advances a false narrative.  I think that Walker also had an increase only in his support from Republicans, but I may be misremembering that poll (I'd need to look at the poll again).

The narrative is obviously reform is working. The following examples illustrates why:

In Wisconsin, education unions insisted that the various units of government use their health insurance company. The reforms freed those governments to contract health insurance to the best bidders. Lo and behold, the union-owned health insurance company lowered its rates, and, and in other districts, different health insurance companies won with better bids. The reform saved various levels of Wisconsin governments money without sacrificing anything in exchange.

Again, a curious silence from those that couldn't shut the hell up about how unpopular certain Republican Governors were a few months ago.

Corbett is nowhere near as controversial as certain other Governors who don't have to be named and I don't recall his ratings going that low to begin with.

People aren't thinking about these governors, anymore.  That's why.  Everyone's moved on to other stuff happening in politics, especially at a national level.

Liberals love facts except when they become "inconvenient".
That's sorta how debate works, in general.

Doesn't Walker have the same claim to being "popular?"

Weeeeellllllll...... It's not a truth, it's a half-truth.
Properly, it should read, "Somewhere around 99% of people love facts except when they become 'inconvenient'."

If by Kasich doing better than Obama in Ohio you mean "Kasich getting destroyed by his likely opponent (Cordray) while Obama narrowly leads all potential opponents," then sure Tongue

Note that Kasich is now even more unpopular than Scott.

Krazen, I know you have erectile dysfunction because you mentioned it on your health form that I asked you to fill out and submit at the beginning of the semester.

My advice is this - see a doctor. They have come a long way in regards to ED. Seeing a specialist makes more sense than trying to live vicariously through random governor's approval ratings when they go up. Just because their approval ratings go up doesn't mean you can "get it up" if you catch my drift. Please go see a doctor. I will count it as an excused absence.
