Whom are you going to appoint to yet another vacant seat in the Legislature?

Who knows. It's not like there is anyone to appoint.

(Though I'm not a southerner,) Have you ever considered abolishing the elected legislature?

No, since the initiative system has proven to be quite useless for the majority of its existence. There were times when the region was active & citizen legislation was good, but it failed miserably in the times when the region was inactive. If the region were thriving now (say, 2005-level thriving) then it might make sense to get rid of the legislature. To do so now would be pointless in the utmost.

Yes, we have brews from all over the region. Long ago we had Seattle coffee too, but we stopped that for fear that the Pacific would ban coffee & we'd be caught unprepared.

Strictly speaking this thread closes just about now. Since I didn't bump it until now, I will be more than happy to continue answering questions.

Are there any openings in the legislature if my job at the newspaper doesn't work out in a few months?

We're kind of full, actually, though Taft seems to be languishing at Viceroy. It may be time to eliminate the Viceroyship & expand the Legislature to five seats. Evil

Noooo! My constitutionally limited POWER! Why would you do this? Sad

Alternatively, the Viceroy could be made into a special Legislator with permanent voting rights. Not sure how else the office could be differentiated, though.

What do you think we should do with the budget?

I think we should balance it by eliminating the excess taxation. I'm amenable to the various suggestions given on how to do so.

There is a guitar God, whose name is Dave Mustaine. Not sure about any other kinds, though.

What kind of eggs do you prefer? Scrambled? Hard-boiled? Over-easy?

I like scrambled (in fritatas or omelets) or over-easy (on toast).

No, birds are rather sedately decorated around here. The most extravagant one I've seen was a Steller's Jay.

Patriots, for sure. Tom Brady is a local export. I also have to remember the victory they won over the Greatest Show on Turf.

Not showing Hanneman the love? It's alright, he's out of commission for now, but he'll be back.

Favorite Metal band?

I will say Hanneman is a better guitarist than Mustaine, though I generally respect Mustaine more for the way he has almost single-handedly carried Megadeth over the years. Slayer is my favorite metal band, with Megadeth in a very close second. However, I think that Mustaine's achievements probably eclipse those of any one of Hanneman, King, Araya, or Lombardo.

Only Mustaine can go from athiest to born-again christian and still kick major butt. And Christ Illusion and World Painted Blood weren't...the best.

Both bands have had their share of less-than-stellar output over the years. Well, nobody can be perfect.

I have no real opinion on those in general. Math jokes on shirts intrigue me, though.
