Perry continues to sounds completely incoherent. It's not even what he's saying sometimes, it's just how he talks.

The audience is dead silent. I hope they show a little enthusiasm tonight...

The audience being quiet is a good thing. Debates shouldn't be exciting.

I am so sick and tired of Gingrich being a grumpy whiny bitch toward the media in every single debate.

Thinly thinly veiled death panel point brought up by Bachmann. It was so funny listening to that as she built it up.

Every debate needs a "hilariously and obviously insane comment by Bachmann" and her saying "Obama plans for Medicare to collapse" is this debate's entry.

Best debate so far, the format works for everyone actually. Too bad it's on Bloomberg...

They (the moderators) have actually done well on the follow-ups

Very. I like this debate's procedure the most of them all so far.

Finally a substantive debate, I'm actually interested in what the candidates are saying for once. I like that they're holding all of the candidates' feet to the fire. I firmly expect Cain to make a big gaffe tonight.

Yep, I'm digging it so far.

It's gotten to the point to where it's not hyperbolic at all to say that literally anytime Michelle Bachmann uses a number, it's probably wrong.

Wait.  Did Bachmann just say that Reagan was campaigning for a third term?

I'm glad I wasn't hearing things.

Romney: "I'm not worried about rich people, they're doing just fine."

Interesting.

Romney just said "I care about people" in regard to healthcare. Could hurt him. Tongue

I'm pretty sure Rick Santorum just made a joke about terrorism.

They just "fact checked" the 999 plan, and said it comes up with "only" 2 Trillion. only 200 Billion less than current revenue? that's a lot closer to target than I thought.

I'm almost positive that I read a much more comprehensive analysis somewhere that estimated his plan would raise only about half of the revenue we currently do, as well as the fact that our projected revenue for the 2012 budget was 2.6 trillion, not 2.2 trillion. Which would make even that generous analysis quite far off what is already far too little revenue to cover our expenditures already anyway.
